Badger problems
Asked on: 11/03/2010     0 Replies
Help! My rural garden is being dug up as though a rotovator has been used and the culprits are badgers. We are extremely open and surrounded by fields. Obviously, I don't want to harm them but does anyone have ideas on how to discourage them from digging up my lawns. I am told they are searching for worms. Jennie Sidders

Hello, I am very keen to begin keeping bees but our garden is rather small and on an estate. Does anyone have any experience of keeping bees in such an environment? Your experiences will be very helpful. Many thanks, Jenny Bostock

I'm looking for a shrub from New Zealand called Drymis colorata....I think it's had a name change to Pseudowintera colorata. I believe it's a slightly tender shrub so can I have some information about it's hardiness as well??

We have receently moved and a big part of our garden is in the shade and very dry. Any ideas that could brighten the area up with a bit of colour and spread by next year in order to cover this part of the gatrden. The trees that are above it are Laurels, which I want to keep. Thanks in advance

Hi Could anyone please give suggestions on how to get rid of black spot on rose plants. My future father in law has been very concerned about this and is expecting me to find out for him. Though I am a plant pathologist but I specialize in winter wheat diseases and not ornamental plants. Could anyone help please!!!!!!

Lawn mowers....
Asked on: 28/05/2009     1 Reply  28/05/2009
Just managed to blow up my lawn mower...right at a busy time of year eh!!......I'm after a rotary mower with engine and grass pick-up.....I've been looking at the DIY places etc and there's too much choice!! Anybody have any knowledge or experience on best one to buy? I don't have a large garden but a lot of the ground is pretty rough so the mower needs to be up to some hard work so needs to take a hammering and be tough! Advice please!
